１．採用予定職名： 大学院言語文化研究院 助教（英語担当）（常勤、任期なし）
２．採用予定人員： 1 名
３．研究分野： 英語学、応用言語学、および関連領域
４．職務内容：（１）言語環境学部門言語情報学講座における研究
（２）基幹教育言語文化科目英語および関連科目の担当週 5 コマ程度
（３）（２）の科目を実施するためのカリキュラム・教材開発・入試に関わる諸業務
（４）学内の委員会等大学の運営にかかわる業務
５．応募資格：（１）関連領域において博士号を有する者、またはこれに準ずる業績を有する者
（２）大学において英語関連科目の教授経験（非常勤含む）を有すること
（３）学術英作文・スピーキング科目の教授能力を有すること
（４）国籍は問わないが、所属部署ならびに本学関係部署の教職員と協調し円滑に業務を
遂行できること
（５）ある程度の外国語教育 DX のスキルを有すること
６．採用予定日：2026 年 4 月 1 日（またはそれ以降のできるだけ早い時期）

８．待遇： （１）給与は令和 2 年 4 月 1 日導入の年俸制、定年までの勤務となります。なお、年俸額に
ついては本学の関係規程に基づき学歴・経験・職歴等を考慮して決定されます。
（２）就業時間：専門業務型裁量労働制により 7 時間 45 分働いたものとみなされます。
（３）休日：土日、祝日、12/29～1/3

Job Announcement for Assistant Professor Position
- Affiliation: The Faculty of Languages and Cultures (FLC), Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan
- Number of Vacancies: One Position for Assistant Professor (tenured)
- Field of Research: English linguistics, applied linguistics, or other related areas
- Job Description:
1) Research in the Faculty of Languages and Cultures
2) Teaching normally five 90-minute EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classes per week per semester primarily to
undergraduate students (teaching a total of 10 classes per year)
3) Curriculum development and teaching materials development
4) Maintaining regular office hours, providing editorial assistance, and assisting with other departmental matters,
including entrance exams - Required Qualifications:
1) PhD or equivalent research record in a relevant field (ABD candidates are also eligible)
2) Previous experience of teaching English at the university level
3) Ability to teach Academic Writing and Speaking Courses
4) Native or working level of proficiency in Japanese is required for the purpose of well-ordered and cooperative
work with members of the FLC and other departments.
5) Foreign language digital transformation skills are desirable. - Start of Appointment: 1st April 2026 (or an earliest possible date after this)

- Working Conditions:
1) Annual Salary (enforced on 1 April 2020): Commensurate with age and qualifications, based on the guidelines for
the Kyushu University Salaries.
2) Working hours: KU allows the employee to engage in his/her work while leaving it to his/her discretion to decide
the means and the allotment of time for performing the work and regarding them as having worked for the
prescribed number of working hours (7 hours and 45 minutes), irrespective of how much time he/she has actually
spent on his/her work.
3) Days off: Every Saturday and Sunday, national holidays, and other days as specified (e.g. New Year’s holiday)
4) The employee enrolls in the health insurance, pension insurance, mutual retirement pension programs of Ministry
