九州大学大学院システム情報科学研究院では、下記の要領で専任教員を公募します。
1.採用予定職名: 大学院システム情報科学研究院学際情報学特別部門・特定プロジェクト教員(准教授)
大学院システム情報科学研究院学際情報学特別部門に所属して情報系副専攻科目を担当すると同時に、大学院言語文化研究院において研究をおこない、基幹教育言語文化科目英語および関連科目を担当します。
2.採用予定人員: 1名
3.研究分野: 応用言語学、英語教育学、および関連領域。加えて広義の言語情報学ないし言語と情報とを関連づけた講義科目を担当できること
4.職務内容:(1)言語文化研究院言語環境学部門言語情報学講座における研究
(2)全学を対象とした情報系副専攻科目1コマ(集中講義)程度
(3)基幹教育言語文化科目英語および関連科目の担当週4コマ程度
(4)(3)の科目を実施するための言語文化研究院におけるカリキュラム・教材開発(DX関連業務を含む)・入試に関わる業務
5.応募資格:(1)関連領域において博士号を有する者、またはこれに準ずる業績を有する者
(2)大学において英語関連科目の教授経験(非常勤含む)を有すること。
(3)講義・教育活動および業務に支障のない日本語運用能力、英語科目を英語で教授することのできる英語運用能力を有すること
(4)DX教材開発に必要な知識・技能を有することが望ましい
6.採用予定日:2027年4月1日
7.雇用期間:5年(2032年3月31日まで)。ただし更新により1年(2033年3月31日まで)延長することがあります。職階上の昇進はありません。

Job Announcement for an Associate Professor Position

The Faculty of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University, invites applications for the following full-time Special Project Faculty position (Associate Professor).
1. Affiliation: Department of Interdisciplinary Informatics, Faculty of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan.
The successful candidate will be affiliated with the Department of Interdisciplinary Informatics, Faculty of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, and will teach courses in the Information-related Minor Program. At the same time, the successful candidate will conduct research in the Department of Linguistic Environment, Subdivision of Linguistic Information, Faculty of Languages and Cultures, and teach English and related courses.
2. Number of Vacancies: One Associate Professor position
3. Field of Research: Applied linguistics, English language education, and related fields. Applicants must also be able to teach courses in linguistic informatics in a broad sense or courses relating language to information.
4. Job Description:
(1) Conducting research in the Department of Linguistic Environment, Subdivision of Linguistic Information, Faculty of Languages and Cultures.
(2) Teaching approximately one intensive course per academic year in the Information-related Minor Program.
(3) Teaching approximately four English and related classes per week.
(4) Curriculum and teaching materials development (including DX-related work) and duties related to entrance examinations in the Faculty of Languages and Cultures.
5. Required Qualifications:
(1) A doctoral degree in a relevant field, or research achievements considered equivalent to a doctoral degree.
(2) Previous experience teaching English at the university level, including part-time teaching experience.
(3) Japanese language proficiency sufficient to undertake lectures, educational activities, and administrative duties, and English language proficiency sufficient to teach English courses in English.
(4) Knowledge and skills necessary for the development of DX-related teaching materials are desirable.
6. Start of Appointment: April 1, 2027
7. Term of Employment: 5 years (until March 31, 2032). However, this may be extended by 1 year (until March 31, 2033) upon renewal. There will be no promotion.

9. Work Conditions:
(1) Employment conditions are governed by the relevant Kyushu University regulations.
(2) Salary: The annual salary will be determined in accordance with Kyushu University regulations, taking into account the successful candidate’s educational background, experience, and employment history.

(3) Working hours: Based on the consent, under the discretionary labor system for professional work, the employee will be deemed to have worked 7 hours and 45 minutes per day.
